4 Days Fes Marrakech desert tour is an outstanding tour that will take you from the cultural capital of Morocco Fes and give you a chance to explore the desert of Morocco especially the south-east and get the most from desert related activities like camel trekking, walking across the desert, living a nomad life for one or two nights, listen to local music and visit ancient buildings and Berber village, so welcome aboard to the get the most out of your vacation and your travel around Morocco, from Fes to Merzouga, then to the red city of Marrakesh.
Day 1- Fes – Merzouga
In the first day of your Journey, we start out around 8 and head towards Merzouga passing through the beautiful cities of Ifrane, Cedar Forest, Timhdit, Midelt, Errachidia and having stops to enjoy the landscapes for some moments. Arriving at Erg-Echebi dunes in the region of Merzouga in the late afternoon, you will find camels waiting for you to advance into the heart of the desert and enjoy a ride crossing the golden dunes and watching the sunset. You will spend an amazing night with exotic food in a Berber camp and sleep in the naked land watching the stars at night. In the morning, you will wake up early to enjoy one of the most beautiful sunrise moments all over the world, from the top of the world’s highest dunes.
Day 3: Exploring Erg-Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.
Your third day will start a little earlier than you are used to during your vacation for you will enjoy the sunrise moment. After that you will head to experience real nomadic life and enjoy an encounter with a Berber family that will share with you part of their life story, and have lunch with them in the tent when it’s cold and under the shade of a tree when it’s hot. After that you will visit the Miffis mines and the small village of Khamlia where you will listen to some Gnawa music and have a cup of tea at the house of Gnawa after that you will return back to your desert camp in Erg-Echebi.
Day 3: Merzouga – Dades Valley
The Third day of our Fez to Marrakesh desert tour starts with breakfast and we head towards Dades Valley. In your way to Dades Valley, you will pass through the beautiful city of Erfoud head to the valley of the Dades have a look at the 1001 Kasbahs and enjoy the palm trees Oases along the way. Then have a stay in Todfgha Gorge and enjoy the panoramic view of the wadi passing in-between the mountains till the evening. Then, you will spend the night in a small traditional hostel that looks like a house more than a hostel, it will give you a feel that you are a home with a Berber family.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Marrakesh
After your breakfast at the hostel, you will enjoy the field-trip in Dades Valley, then we head to Ouarzazate through the Valley of Roses in Kalla-Megouna. In Kalla-Megouna you will enjoy the handmade products of the region most of them are made of roses especially, perfumes, soaps, and skin moisturizers. Next, we head to Skoura Oases—one of the largest oases all over Morocco and we stop at Ouarzazate to visit the world famous Kasbah of Ait-Ben-Haddou that the UNESCO has classified as a world heritage Kasbah, and you will enjoy the history of the kasbah from the mouth of our guide. After that, we head to Marrakesh through the gorgeous pass of Tizi-N-Tichka in the High Atlas Mountains and by the evening we arrive to Marrakesh to wrap our tour into the desert.
